The Artist Hideaway provides kayaks for our guests. From your front yard you can explore the vast waterways. Rule number one of kayaking here is Know Your Tides. Don't get stranded on a mud flat and have to wait for the incoming tide. Then again it would be an adventure to remember.
Looking to be inspired? Look no further. The beauty of the Cedar Keys will do the trick. Your creative streak will be enhanced here. The colors of the sky and the sea. The changing tides. The amazing collection of colonial and migratory birds. Did I mention the amazingly dark skies out here on the keys? You'll be awed by the vivid night sky. From your balcony you'll see more stars and planets than you ever dreamed of.
Take a bike ride to the village of Cedar Key for a leisurely lunch, or a visit to the vegetable market. Or tour the art centers displaying for sale the works of many local artists. Spend the afternoon in the sun at the City Park beach and watch the boats come and go. Pack a lunch and hire a boat for a drop off at historic Atsena Otie Island for a memorable afternoon.

Artist Hideaway is approximately 1200 sq. ft. in living space. We have a screend porch facing west. We have cable tv, telephone and wi-fi. The kitchen is fully furnished with appliances, dinnerware, flatware, glasses and coffee cups. Sheets, pillow cases, blankets, towels and all linens are supplied. No need to bring anything except your groceries for your stay in our vacation house. We also have a dishwasher. Large capacity washer and dryer. We have two kayaks and two bicycles for your use. Miles of estuary and open gulf waters are at your door when staying in the Artist Hideaway. Give the office a call and we'll answer and and all questions .
